Have fun learning and playing with your preschooler!

We are thrilled you attended Jubilee with your preschooler. While we will always strive to create awesome experiences for your child at church, we believe what’s happening in your home is way more important. No one has more influence in your child’s life than you! That’s why we want to help you continue having fun moments together at home.

First, watch the video to hear God’s truth in a way your preschooler can understand. Then, follow up with the fun activities below!

God can use you, no matter what.
Judges 6-8

Watch this week’s video!

“I trust in God. I am not afraid.”

"Who can trust God?"
"I can trust God!"

When you go into your child’s room, say, “Good morning! I want to give my [name of child] a great, big hug because God loves us with a great, big love!”

As you bathe your child, ask them, “Can you blow bubbles in the water? Can you tap the top of the water with your hands? Can you scoop and pour the water? Can you put your head under the water?” Then say, “Wow! You can do a lot of things. But guess what! God can do ANYTHING! It’s true! That’s one of the reasons we can trust God. God can do anything!”

Cuddle with your child this month and pray, “Dear God, thank You for loving us and using us in Your plan. It doesn’t matter how big or small we are. It’s all about You and what You can do. And You can use [name of child] and me, no matter what. You are awesome, God, and we love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

As you drive or take a walk, take turns saying the two sentences of the memory verse. For example, you say, “I trust in God.” And your child says, “I am not afraid.” And then you both say, “Psalm 56:11.” Now switch and say it all again! Talk about how every person feels afraid sometimes, but when we trust God, we don’t have to stay afraid.

God loves me.

Say: “Today, we’ll make a list of things that sometimes make you afraid. We all feel afraid at times, even me. So, tell me one thing that sometimes makes you afraid. I will write it in our prayer journal.”

Pray: “Dear God, we know we can trust You. But sometimes we forget and things like (read the list the child(ren) made) make us afraid. Please help us remember that we can always trust you and we don’t have to be afraid. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen."
Here is a fun activity you can do with your preschooler using things you already have at home.

Find The Jar

BEFORE THE ACTIVITY: Hide the jar somewhere in the room.

DURING THE ACTIVITY: Have children find the jar. Hide again. Repeat as long as desired.
Say: “I’ve hidden a jar in the room for you to find. When I say, ‘Go,’ I want you to look for it. When you find the jar, bring it back to me. I’ll hide it again for you to find. Ready and GO! (Pause.) Yay! You found the jar! Close your eyes, and I’ll hide it again. (Repeat as long as desired.) You did a great job of finding the jar!”

AFTER THE ACTIVITY: “This week we heard how jars were used in our Bible story. What do you remember about Gideon and how God used him?”

When we believe in our children, we cherish them for who they are, not for who we’d like them to be.
